What age groups do you cater to?

We welcome children from as young as 2.5 years up to about 11 years old. There is no real upper limit on age, but we do find that once the children reach a 400m swimming ability they will naturally move on from the swim school.

What are the class sizes like?

Our class sizes are kept small to ensure personalized attention and safety. For preschool lessons we maintain a ratio of one instructor to every four children and for our older children the ratio is one instructor to every six children.

How long are the swimming lessons?

Each preschool lesson is 20 minutes and all other lessons are 30 minutes long.

What qualifications do your instructors have?

Our instructors are STA/ASA qualified and have extensive experience in teaching children of various ages and skill levels. They are also DBS checked and trained in CPR and first aid.

How do you ensure safety during lessons?

Safety is our top priority. Our instructors are vigilant and trained to handle any situation that may arise. Our instructors are RLSS teacher rescue trained, and our pool is equipped with safety gear and protocols.

What should my child wear for lessons?

We recommend an appropriate costume or swimwear that doesn’t restrict ease of movement (such as baggies, board shorts etc). Swimming caps are compulsory and goggles are optional.

Can parents watch the lessons?

Yes! We have seating all around the pool for parents/guardians to observe their child’s progress during lessons.

What if my child is afraid of water?

Our instructors are experienced in working with children who may have fear or anxiety about water. We use gentle techniques and encouragement to help children overcome their fears at their own pace.

How can I register my child for lessons?

You can register your child by visiting our Facebook page or the contact section of our website. We’ll be happy to assist you in finding the right class for your child’s age and skill level.

What is your cancellation policy?

We do have a cancellation policy as we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise and we are happy to discuss a refund for any prepaid lessons.

How can I track my child’s progress?

Our swim school is powered by the STA awards scheme which includes a whole range of skill awards and distance badges. By their very nature these awards are a great way of tracking your child’s progress.

We also provide regular feedback to parents so you can stay informed about your child’s development in the water.
